The Rehab Haven Research
Measuring what matters.
Building evidence for better rehabilitation. We generate, appraise and translate rehabilitation evidence for Ghana, for Africa and for other settings where rehabilitation has to work with real constraints.
How research moves here
Question to impact.
Every piece of work travels the same road, and no stage is skipped. Tap a stage to see what happens in it.
Our focus
Rehabilitation questions that matter here.
Much of the world's rehabilitation evidence is produced in settings that look nothing like ours. Our work concentrates where that gap is widest.
-
Where we work
Ghana, the wider African region, and low- and middle-income settings where rehabilitation services are stretched, distances are long and cost decides what a family can continue.
-
What we study
Rehabilitation services, disability, neurorehabilitation, chronic conditions, community rehabilitation, prevention, health systems and access to rehabilitation.
-
What we measure
Function, independence, participation in everyday life, quality of life, caregiver outcomes and whether people can actually reach the care they need.
We publish what we can verify. Figures, claims and references on these pages come from named sources or from our own recorded work, never from estimation.
Research projects
What we are working on.
Projects appear here as they are approved for public listing, with their study status shown as it stands today.
Study status follows one order: idea, proposal, under review, approved, active, analysis, completed, published.
Research opportunities
Come and work on it with us.
Research assistant roles, student and dissertation projects, clinical research partnerships, collaborations, calls for proposals and community research. Open opportunities are listed here.
Student research
Supervised, structured, and finished.
Students working with us are supervised properly: a project agreed at the start, a proposal reviewed before data collection, feedback on drafts, milestones you can see, and a supervision record kept for your institution.
Send an enquiry using the form beside this and tell us your institution, your programme and the area you want to work in. You can attach a proposal if you have one.
Research enquiry & application
Goes straight to our research team. Nothing you send here appears anywhere on this website.
Research integrity is not a policy page here. It is a working rule: if a study, an author, a figure or a reference cannot be verified, it is recorded as source required and it does not get published.
