Our care
What our care actually involves.
Rehabilitation is easier to trust when you know what will happen to you. This page describes how care runs at our centre in South Patasi: what a first visit is, how a plan is made, and where the work continues once you leave.
At the centre
Assessment, therapy and the plan you take home.
Every person is different, so we do not sell a fixed package. What is constant is the order of the work: understand first, treat second, and keep checking that daily life is improving.
-
Assessment
Your history, your movement and what everyday tasks currently cost you. Nothing is treated before it is understood.
-
Hands-on physiotherapy
Treatment delivered by a clinician, chosen for what the assessment found and adjusted as you respond to it.
-
Guided rehabilitation
Exercise taught and supervised, so you learn the movement properly rather than copying it from a sheet of paper.
-
Nutrition alongside therapy
A nutritionist works within our clinical team, so eating and recovery can be looked at together where that matters for you.
-
A plan for home
What to do between sessions, written in ordinary language, and explained to the family member or caregiver who supports you.
Understand first. Treat second.
How a course of care runs.
From your first appointment to the day you no longer need us, here is the shape of it.
-
1
Your first visit
An assessment, not a treatment session. We listen, examine, and tell you honestly what we think is going on.
-
2
Goals you chose
The plan is built around what you want back: a task, a job, a walk, a duty at home. You should recognise yourself in it.
-
3
Therapy and review
Sessions at the centre, with your progress checked as you go so the programme keeps matching the person doing it.
-
4
Discharge with a plan
Ending care is part of care. You leave knowing what to keep doing, what to watch for, and when to come back.
Being straight with you
What we will not do.
Recovery is serious, and so is the way it should be described to you. These are commitments, not marketing.
-
We will not promise an outcome
We will tell you what we expect and why, and we will tell you when we are not certain. Guarantees in rehabilitation are not honest.
-
We will not quote numbers we cannot stand behind
You will not find invented success rates or patient counts on this website.
-
We will not keep you longer than you need
The aim is independence. When you can carry the plan yourself, we say so.
-
We will not treat before we assess
If something looks like it needs a doctor, a scan or a hospital first, we will tell you that rather than start therapy.
Progress you can see in an ordinary day.
Next step
Please book an appointment before you come.
Booking first means a clinician is set aside for you and your assessment is not rushed. Send a request and we will confirm your time.
